Archon

Suno just released a new version of its Studio app. Supposedly it has MIDI editing and some other new stuff. I’m going to check it out tonight. Maybe more musical control?

Aside from writing tunes occasionally, I also like to grab classic 8-bit and 16-bit video game tracks and run them through AI to see what I can get. I literally use the audio output from the actual hardware as the starter template. Here’s the title track from Archon (NES version).

My brothers and I used to play this game a ton when we were kids. We’d call the knights “sword guys” and the goblins “bammers”. Taking out a unicorn with a bammer was the ultimate achievement.
